Tournament Preparation: Cue, Equipment and Mental Readiness
Pre-tournament cue check, bag preparation and table adaptation tips.
On tournament day both technical and mental preparation matter. This list summarizes practical steps.
Cue and Accessories
Check tip wear, chalk, glove and spare shaft (if any). If you will use break and jump cues, make room in the case. Masi Carbon cues are ready after a final wipe before the tournament.
Bag and Documents
Registration papers, ID and tournament schedule. Make sure the case is closed and labeled; prefer a hard case if traveling by air.
Table Adaptation
If possible, take a few warm-up shots on the tournament table. Cloth speed and cushion stiffness may differ from your home table; adjust in the first few frames.
Mental
Don't break your sleep, diet and warm-up routine. Breathing and focus exercises help reduce stress.
