Carbon Fiber Cue Production Process: Step by Step
How are carbon fiber shafts and bodies made? Rolling, molding and quality control.
Carbon fiber cue production requires a series of technical steps. In this article we summarize the process simply.
Material Preparation
Carbon fiber fabric or prepreg (pre-impregnated) material is used. Resin type and number of layers determine stiffness and weight.
Molding and Compression
Material is placed in cylindrical or conical molds and cured with heat and pressure. Methods like cold rolling provide additional strength and surface quality in some manufacturers.
Machining and Finishing
Shaft diameter, taper and surface roughness are set by turning/grinding. Coating, logo and final checks are completed. Quality control is carried out at each step; at Masi Carbon this process is applied rigorously.
