Carbon Cue Brands 2026 — Market Map and How to Compare Them
A country-by-country map of carbon cue and shaft manufacturers, plus the criteria you can use to compare them yourself.
A decade ago carbon shafts were a niche product; today they are common in both pool and carom. This article maps the types of manufacturer you will encounter and gives you a method for comparing them yourself.

Three clusters in the market
1. The American pool school. Predator, Cuetec, Pechauer, McDermott and Jacoby come mainly from pool. Their carbon shaft lines (Predator's Revo, Cuetec's Cynergy) are the best-known products of this school. Focus: 9-ball/10-ball, low deflection, tournament use.
2. The Japanese precision school. Brands such as Mezz and Adam position themselves on fine workmanship and consistent production tolerances. Carom has a strong player base in Japan, so these makers also carry carom-oriented products.
3. The European carom school. Longoni (Italy) and Bull Carbon (Germany) come out of the three-cushion tradition, and their products are typically shaped around carom dimensions and balance.
Local manufacturing. Masi Carbon is a Türkiye-based maker producing in Antalya (since 2023). What distinguishes this cluster is not a price claim but that production and service sit in the same country: custom sizing, a second shaft, an extension or a tip change move without shipping and customs delays.
Five things to check when comparing brands
1. Is it made to order?
On a shelf product, weight, length and joint are fixed. With order-based production you set them. At Masi Carbon the cue is built within 380 – 600 g, and shaft model (R/F/C), joint type and tip are chosen at order time.
2. Is the taper profile stated?
Taper is the main variable behind feel. If the product page does not name the profile, ask. (The Warrior family uses full Eiffel, half Eiffel and conical profiles.)
3. What does the warranty cover?
Scope matters more than duration. A defect warranty is not impact cover. Masi Carbon shafts carry a lifetime and cues an unlimited manufacturing-defect warranty.
4. Does the joint standard match yours?
If you are fitting a shaft to an existing butt this is a precondition, not a preference. Warrior shafts can be made for every joint type; that is not universally true across makers.
5. Who handles after-sales?
When you need a tip change, a second shaft, an extension or a warranty claim, who is your counterpart? With an overseas brand that process stretches through shipping and customs.
How to compare prices properly
- Is a second shaft included or extra?
- Is an extension included?
- Is custom weight charged separately?
- Are shipping, customs and taxes included?
- Does a warranty claim require sending the product abroad?
A price comparison that does not equalise these items does not show real cost. Our own current pricing is on the products page: the first shaft is included in the cue price, and a second shaft is added at the shaft price.
What local production means
Masi Carbon cues and shafts are produced in Antalya. In practice: your measurements are applied per order, you deal with the manufacturer directly, and there is no intermediate link in after-sales.
