Cue Transport and Case Selection: What to Look For?
Types of protective cases, compartment count and air/car transport tips.
Choosing the right case or sleeve is important for transporting your cue safely.
Soft Sleeve
Sufficient for daily club/home carry; limited protection against impacts. Not recommended for long trips and flights.
2–3 Compartment Case
Separate compartments for main cue, break cue and jump cue. Lining and zipper quality matter; waterproof is a plus.
Hard Case
The safest option for airline baggage and long trips. Models with corner protection and lock are preferred. Masi Carbon cues have high impact tolerance thanks to carbon construction; still, carrying in a hard case preserves their lifespan.
Transport Tips
Don't overfill the case; compression can cause cracking. Don't leave in humid environments for long. When traveling by air you can request a "fragile" label.
